The Seven Steps

There are seven critical steps you need to take to become successful in the business of producing, marketing and selling your own information products.

They are laid out on this site in chronological order.  In essence, you must first at least start and have a good handle on the previous step before you move along to the next.  If you move along the path too quickly without a firm grasp on the initial concepts, you might end up “spinning your wheels”, getting frustrated about a lack of progress and even giving up and letting freedom from the Rat Race pass you by altogether!

Let’s get right to it and get you pointed in the RIGHT direction:

Step One:  Select Your Niche

Select a niche, or category, you have a genuine interest or passion for.  By nature of your passion, you will automatically know more than at least 90% of everyone else.  You need to do the required research to determine if your niche is a viable market for your offerings.

Step Two:  Create Your Product

Turn your knowledge into a digestible product form.  Different people consume their information in different ways.  Some like to read, some listen, many like to watch and there is a huge sector that likes to take it all in via a memorable experience (seminar, workshop, bootcamp).  You can tackle one or all the above.

Step Three:  Write the Sales Copy For Your Products

The sales copy for your information product is the lifeblood and foundation for your ability to sell your products both on- and off-line.  Actually, this step is SO important that many veteran info marketers write the sales copy FIRST, then create the product around the selling points and benefits.

Step Four:  Create A Website That Works To Sell Your Information Products

Merely having a web site is not enough to sell your info products effectively.  You need to have a web presence that WORKS.  What makes it work?  You’ll get a good handle on the who, what, where, how and why by spending some time with us right here.

Step Five:  Drive Traffic To Your Website

The best website on the planet wouldn’t be able to sell anything to anybody if no one shows up in the first place.  There are many ways to drive traffic to your site, but can be broken down into two major categories:  Paid and Free.  We’ll discuss both here in detail and show you how it’s done.

Step Six:  Convert Your Web Visitors Into Leads Or Customers

This is the proof in the pudding.  A website that works, converts.  Period.  Converting visitors into leads and leads into customers is what it’s all about.  There are numerous ways to turn a visitor into a customer.  This manifesto will help you to find the ways that work for YOU.

Step Seven:  Sell MORE Of Your Information Products

Last but not least, to be successful you need to sell MORE stuff to your loyal customers.  Keys to gaining repeat and loyal customers include great products, a deep line of products in the same niche and building a trusting relationship with your list of prospects.
